Brandon

“Yoga to me is an effortless dance between the breath and the body, and in the process to have lots of fun!”

Brandon Chong started off as a Competitive Dancer and a Figure Skater in his earlier movement days. He picked up Yoga when he was serving the Navy as a Naval Officer for 5 years. He found both the beauty of movement and discipline in his Yoga Practice; a practice that unites both strength and flexibility through movement techniques. He then left the Navy and went to a renown Ashram in Nasik City, India where he got his certifications as a Yoga Teacher.

As a coach, Brandon has taught people from all walks of lives, from those who has no experience in any fitness style all the way to Athletes through his background in using movement and relaxation techniques to help balance the strength and flexibility in his flow and yin type classes. He believes that anyone can benefit with Yoga, and how Yoga aids in the mindfulness of everyday life.

Brandon founded his own brainchild, Instiinct Studios in 2017. He has since been invited to teach in large events, the latest being FitnessFest 2018. He has also been invited to teach at Bali, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Australia and New York. Brandon has lead events with other names such as Google, W Hotel, Oasia, Ogilvy and Mather, L’Oreal. He was also featured in Vulcan Post in an interview of how a Naval Officer left the Navy to follow his passions in movement and other publications like the Singapore Straits Times.

Brandon is now an ambassador for Lululemon, and working with the global design team for their global design initiatives and community projects.
